Welcome t
o Viridis Challenge. This site was inspired by all the conversations that I have held with my husband, friends, and family regarding all the "green" issues that encompass our daily lives. We are constantly bombarded with marketing ploys to get us to buy their products... but most of the marketing can be classified as "greenwash" where essentially there is little to no environmental benefit to buying the product, but the companies know that the consumers will feel better. A good example of this is the new Poland Springs Ecobottle. Without ever reading GreenWashing Index, I knew that this was greenwash, but I am posting their comment since they already wrote it... so I say, why write it again? Some areas I would love to discuss on this site...
- What companies do you trust? Distrust? and why
- Where do you shop?
- What do you do that you would consider "environmental"?
- How does your diet effect the environment?
- Have you seen any documentaries or read any books/ articles that got you thinking about your own life differently?
- What changes have you made in your daily routine that you think is good for the environment?
I think you are getting the point. Let's talk, debate, and share our opinions.
:-) Karen
